Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce in the UK and Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania extend invitation to the annual Christmas Charity Ball 2011.
Thursday, November 24 2011, from 6.30 pm, "The Langham Hotel" (1C Portland Place, Regent Street, London, W1B 1JA) will see a great evening with well known guests gathering together for good cause - donating for Lithuanian Charity and Support Fund "Algojimas", supporting disabled children and their families all over Lithuania.
Theme and Guests
The theme for this year's Charity Ball is Art and Fashion, and the programme of the evening will not leave any doubts - special 2-part performance of theathrical opera fantasy "XYZ" will be commenced by the opera group "Bohemieciai" from Lithuania, lead by one of the most famous Lithuanian opera singer Asmik Grigorijan. Costumes for this group are designed by Juozas Statkevicius, who will attend the event himself as well. And even more exciting about his visit to London will be announced in a couple of weeks' time.
Auction and Raffle
A host of items will be auctioned or won in raffle - exclusive items from Lithuanian fashion designers, painters and jewellers - to name just a few. The funds raised during the Ball will be donated to "Algojimas" Fund. More politicians and well known businessmen from Lithuania are expected to confirm their attendance in a following weeks, but , that November 24 will become a very colourful evening with the best cause before Christmas.
